You can be a great writer and still get rejected. Repeatedly. It doesn't mean you're failing. It means you're trying.

After not writing for a whole week because of all the rejections, I'm finally picking it back up again today. I got this.

The reality is if you want more high budget lesbian stories, you need to support the lower budget lesbian stories. If you want animated lesbian super heroes or magical girls or mecha anime or whatever then you need to support the books, webcomics,etc of folks making that stuff not just begging corps

And given how much marketing labor is heaped upon writers, we know you've gotta hustle. ❤️

Writing an issue of something that is basically one long fight scene with some character beats in it, and I tell you: the most difficult part of writing genre fiction is not plot or dialogue or thematic structure. It's choreography. Moving bodies through space in a way that tells a story.
