I understand that fictional non-con can be triggering, but there are better ways to solve this than just censoring it for everyone. If YOUR feelings are getting hurt, then you can just hide the content for you. The fictional characters are not getting hurt, so you don't need to worry about it.

What if they made a "non-con" content filter where only the artist itself can label? Anyone who doesn't want to see this type of content can just hide it and the artist decide if their art can be considered fictional non-con. Tell me if that could work or not. What is your opinion? #bskycensorship

This just shows how censoring fictional "noncon" is stupid. I, the artist, just decided that the friends are consenting to seeing this, and it was actually just a roleplay all along. No damage done, because they are not real people, I invented them and I can tell what they are feeling or not. PERIOD

Because, no matter how you slice it, censoring nsfw art based on arbitrary rules becomes the first step in the door to censoring many more types of art. It's a simple leap for any platform to start censoring certain nsfw content to start associating LGBTQ with nsfw and start banning that.

I don't actively engage with NSFW on my main account, obviously. I want this to be a more safe space for people of multiple ages, but these rules are bad for -all- artists. No matter how you look at it. Others have said it, and I'll echo it. They're a slippery slope and vague enough to be abused.

I should make my feelings clear on this, as others have. I think the announcement of the recent bluesky censorship rules are quite alarming and distressing. They're vague and entirely too easy to abuse, as most censorship rules have a history of.

There is a direct, traceable path from major social media sites & wide use websites introducing (or being forced into) censorious anti-NSFW policies to larger scale state censorship, like Michigan attempting to label Trans existence as porn, and porn as criminal. Lives and livelihoods are at stake.
