#Synthsky people Plugins.... Is there a reason I should prioritise either AU or VST3 on Mac? I install the AU & VST3. I never install the VST2/AAX plug in. To help my messy brain I like to keep a tidy setup so only really access the VST3 folder, even thought the AUs are there.

Why are some plugins so big? Relab LX480 Essentials is nearly 800mb And there was no option to just install one format (I know I can do it manually) And the VST3 doesn't show up in plugin list. Soundtoys Spaceblender was almost 600mb #synthsky

If there's one thing I'd hope the music community learns from Leave Spotify it's this: The signs were there for years but we acted too slow. Artists are broke. The LLM has its dataset for AI slop. Ek has made his billions and reinvested in AI+war. The damage is done. Next time we must move faster.

Soldering advice pls Getting a new iron. The last I had was cheap basic Draper (30w I think) 2 problems: the tips kept disintegrating; the solder never got really hot and needed longer contact time to solder. Someone said cold/low power iron could cause this. True? Should I get a higher wattage?

Recalibrating this synth again. The tuning is so bizarre. Oscillators drifting a few cents out of tune in mid range (still very usable), then +/-20 cents out of tune around C1 and C5. Heard it was a problem with these reissues but more I read more it might just be a 2600 thing. #synthsky
