We have been learning about food groups and foods that contribute to our 5 a day. On Friday we chopped different fruits and made our own smoothies to try 🍓

As part of our water topic, we investigated what would dissolve in water: sugar,salt or flour. We made predictions, tested our ideas and observed what happened!

Last week, N shared her family traditions of Chinese New Year. This sparked great curiosity among the children and we went on to take part in a range of related activities to explore the celebration further 🧧

A brilliant visit from Generation Science today! 🫀 we had so much fun learning about the human body and how it works. 🔬✨

This week we have been revising our 2D and 3D shapes by making shape monsters and building 3D shapes with the construction straws 🟦

Day 3 of Reading Schools Week was all about storytelling! 📚✨ Today we created our own characters, before using Book Creator or making our own puppet shows to bring our stories to life!

We had such a lovely first visit to the school library 📚 A reminder to return books each Tuesday so we can continue enjoying lots of different books at home!

We have been exploring place value by representing and partitioning numbers using tens and ones.

We junk modelled our own bee hotels, making sure they have shelter, plenty of holes, and are waterproof for our bees!

Today we hung up our very own bee hotel just in time for the solitary bees to hibernate 🐝❄️
