One practical thing the #GeneralAssembly could do would be to move the headquarters of the UN outside the USA. Especially given USA as host country has banned #ICC prosecutors from entering and is now interfering with international justice.

I couldn't bring myself to vote for him because he defined his leadership on fighting against anyone who dares to speak for the a Palestinians. His prognostications on #Palestine have been well known for a long time. Labour is not an avenue to tackle injustice given its current takeover.

Only a small minority of side events to the #GlobalDisabilitySummit will have any involvement of persons with disabilities. Zero events on one of the largest disabling events in history in #Palestine due to veto on that topic. #Google prime place. What on earth is going on?

Where on earth is the fightback on this? Wait-and-see really isn't acceptable any more - impacts are immediate and probably not easily rolled back. US Government (State Dept) also has a prime spot at the #GlobalDisabilitySummit - reasonable to expect the organisers to cancel that immediately.

Is it worth going to the #GlobalDisabilitySummit? No agenda (yet), sky-high Berlin hotels, visa sponsor letters not out yet(!!), no public criteria on side event selection (most non-OPD led), criticism that the mass disabling atrocity in #Palestine cannot be mentioned. Should I use my registration?

US Presidential Pardons do not amount to any kinda rehabilitation. Labour knee-bending doesn't equate to consent. Remember: political statements of the oligarchs - UK, Europe, the USA - are what they've always been. Clarity as to who is responsible for harm, and who needs to be held accountable.

Another point concerning the #GlobalDisabilitySummit. As far as I know, #deinstitutionalisation isn't on the agenda at all (though a 'fireside chat' might be considered). Why? I'm wondering about how the event & themes aligns with Article 4(3) of the #CRPD which is about effective participation.

The discourse on Musk inability to understand his "salute" for being autistic is the same used to deprive autistic people victims of violence of justice.Lack of capacity needs to stop being used to deny us both the accountability for our actions and the possibility to tell our stories.

In April, the #GlobalDisabilitySummit will take place in Berlin. Organisers (governments of Germany, Jordan, and IDA) have decided that the mass disabling event in #Gaza - part of the genocide of #Palestine - cannot be mentioned. Nor can Israel's crimes against humanity. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.
