I flew through yesterday on adrenaline and crashed spectacularly in the evening. My AuDHD didn't help - I ended up in hyperfocus and couldn't stop even when my body was screaming at me. Needless to say, the PEM is immense today. I feel horrific 😫

I'm really struggling. I don't know if it's fallout from my cardiology appointment or hormonal shifts due to Zoladex, but I'm swinging between rage, sadness, and numbness. Just sharing, as I want to try and stay ahead of any mental health spiral. Will be talking to the GP about it on Friday.

I had my first Zoladex injection last Friday. Here's how it's going. The weirdest change has been my aversion to food. That happened last time I had Zoladex too - I survived on gluten free fishfingers and spaghetti for weeks 🙈 Trying to keep it a bit more varied this time. But 🤢

Remembered it was non-uniform day today just as O's mini bus arrived. That was the quickest outfit change ever 😂 So glad I remembered at the last moment, so he didn't stick out as the only kid who forgot!

40 Days of Gratitude | Day 29 Today I am grateful for a beautiful, sunny day 😎 We've managed to do a bit of gardening, and now I am reclining in a chair in the shade to rest whilst listening to the birds. Bliss. #40DaysOfGratitude

Just managed to dictate 875 words for my WIP whilst laying in bed, nursing a migraine. No idea how badly it has picked up the words 🤔 and it's going to need me to edit in punctuation properly later (I am still not used to that bit). But that's 875 words that wouldn't have been written otherwise 😃

Does anyone else find that the Cefaly electrodes never seem to remain properly sticky for long? I'm pretty sure it is not user error, given I have 2 other TENS machines with a variety of electrodes that last several times as long. It costs me a fortune replacing them each month. #Migraine

Day 26 Today is Mother's Day in the UK. This was what O wrote in my card 🥹 O was only 3 when I got sick with ME/CFS. He doesn't remember a non-sick version of me. And I often grieve for all the things we've lost. But it turns out he's more focused on other parts of who I am 🥰 #40DaysOfGratitude

Um... I just learned about human chimeras. And, well, now I'm wondering if I am one... When I was born there was a twin placenta, but no twin. So there is every chance I absorbed my twin's DNA whilst in utero. My parents always joked I must have got my twin's share of issues 😂

Day 22 I started reading this today. It's been on my TBR for a couple of years. I kept putting it off as I know I'm going to find it a really tough read. But this week a friend offered to buddy read with me, so we can discuss it as I read. And I am so so grateful for that 🥰 #40DaysOfGratitude

Day 21 I'm still sick, but it's a gorgeous day, which reminded me how grateful I am for this mini garden. It sits right outside my window, and looks after itself. I can see flowers from my bed, as well as birds looking for worms. In a couple of months it'll be full of blooms #40DaysOfGratitude

OMG 😭 The Endo & Adeno cramps just hit with a bloody vengeance 😭 No wonder I have had an awful migraine since last night. Hormones are hormoning 😫 So now my head hurts, I'm dizzy, I have the worst cramps in my pelvis and lower back, and my legs feel like I ran up 2 flights of stairs!

Day 16 Today is a really rough day. I've had an epic migraine since last night and I am staying as horizontal as possible (which for me includes a raised head due to dizziness). So my world is, once again, reduced to what I can see from my bed.

Day 14 Today I'm grateful for the NHS. As a chronically ill person, I rely on the NHS a lot. Today I had a CT scan, to see if we can figure out why a dent has appeared above a 30+ year old scar on my forehead. Can you see it in the photo? #40DaysOfGratitude

Day 12 Today I'm grateful I managed a quick roll down the road to catch Pokémon with my family. My fatigue is high. It wasn't a wise decision physically. But I *needed* to do this for my mental health. I've been looking forward to this weekend for weeks. #40DaysOfGratitude

People who believe ME/CFS is psychosomatic despite all the evidence 🙄: "you're just deconditioned and afraid of exercise!" My body: wildly exceeds the weekly target for intensity minutes set by my Garmin simply by existing! This was a relatively quiet week for me too, with a LOT of resting.

40 Days of Gratitude | Day 10 Today I am grateful for our greenhouse. It meant that we could pot the lavender plug plants I ordered even though it was raining. Again. These will all hopefully grow and merge into each other to create solid plants for popping in spaces we have around the garden.

40 Days of Gratitude | Day 8 Today I'm grateful to have such a good GP surgery. I know from experience that the kind of care I now receive is so rare. And as I lay in bed, unable to function *yet again*, I'm grateful for that.

Day 7 Today I'm grateful that Sprite is playing with a toy 😃 You have no idea how much I have tried to get Snowy and Sprite into toys. They need the stimulation. But they have always been so suspicious 😂 So seeing her play, even tentatively, with this today made me so proud. #40DaysOfGratitude
