I’m almost 20 hours into Veilguard and all of the hate was extremely forced. Is the tone different than the other DA titles? Sure. Is it bad? Absolutely not.

It's 110-ish hours later and I am nearing the end of my Dragon Age Inquisition playthough (or at least I thought so until I realized I had a whole nother DLC to play through.) But it seems like I'll be done with it in another 12. Then it's on to Veilguard!

Today I actually uttered the phrase 'What I do I know? I've only been working in video production for twenty years." I then immediately turned into a dusty husk of a skeleton.

One of my biggest weaknesses as a GM is running combat. I constantly forget tactics and rules, and I feel harried referencing stat blocks - ultimately my fights are probably too easy on the players. That said I’m really only now understanding this about myself so it gives me something to work on!

Owing to a brilliant suggestion in a guide video for the Call of Cthulhu scenario I ran yesterday - we made the crucial NPC of the module into a player character and it worked out extremely well. Felt like a fresh and exciting take that I’ll definitely consider again for the next one shot I run.

Just wrapped up this went SO WELL. 😮‍💨 really fun time with this system! Loved the focus on investigation, lore and exploration. Oh and the horror of it all. Perfect for spooky season. Anyway I’m going to go have some tea and decompress

I went to get my car washed and when they were cleaning the radio they tuned it to a station that plays 2000's Nu Metal. And after listening to banger after banger from my youth I realized that I totally had a Nu Metal phase in college. These songs are great! No no, they are amazing.

I’m about 10 hours into DA: Inquisition and I’m in love with this setting and lore. I do have two hot takes though: 1) “Dragon Age” while metal as heck, is not a fitting title for the series. The name should instead be reflective of the conflict between the Mages and Templars as that is at the core.

For me, the haters were wrong. I thought Dragon Age 2 was really fun 🤷. I’m even more interested in playing Veilgiard now :P but first I have some DLC to play and then it’s on to Inquisition.

Currently playing through the Dragon Age games for the first time. Started with Origins and thought it was great if a little dated mechanics-wise. I was told to not look forward to DA2 but I'll tell you what. It's got its hooks into me. I'm really enjoying it.

Sometimes during a D&D session I’ll get an idea in my head that I think is funny and will spend too much time photoshopping an image to post to Discord. My DM just labeled them “High-effort shitposts” and you know…..fair.

Talking with you DM about your character's fears and motivations feels like talking to a good friend or a therapist....except with the expectation that they will use this information against you down the line in hilarious ways.
