UPDATE: After 18 months of sitting out a noncompete, I'm finally back working on generative testing. Not only that, I'm joining @antithesis.com next week, and I can't wait to build testing technology with such a deeply technical and committed group. Everything in its right place.

Fireplace floor protector progress! Something covering the floor cuts remaining, and of course some firewood. The finish got a little weird because of dust where I painted, but meh. The cutouts turned out so good that I didn't need to seal against the blocks. Really fun project overall!

How do people search nix packages? `nix search` is quite slow and bloats the screen with various eval warnings, but maybe that can be fixed? Currently I mostly run `nix repl` and poke around, and it feels very blunt.

I think it's only a good Chrome Devtools Protocol implementation holding me back from investing into Ocaml over Rust for my current project. And it's been like that before, the Ocaml ecosystem being a bit too thin. I hope it catches up! Would love to use it more.

I've been hacking on the scraper a lot, trying to get TOC extraction robust. It now handles links in all weird directions (as often seen in Sphinx sites). No JS support yet, but that's probably coming up next. I'd be happy to receive test cases I can use.

Proof of concept using Pandoc! Here I'm converting my own blog into an ereader-friendly PDF. I'd spend a lot more time making the output beautiful, as I think that's one of the major selling points. Need to build a real crawler, possibly running a real Chrome to support JS.

Thinking about writing a tool or service that can produce PDFs or ePubs for the content of entire sites (or parts of sites). For instance, it's common that project documentation consists of multiple pages, and no single-page doc. Would be nice to bundle automatically for easy offline reading.
