Iām a big advocate of Ruben, but Iām not āconvincedā heāll succeed. Iām simply not nearly convinced that he wonāt. Managers used to get sacked after failure over a period of time. Now, if unable to fully fix a structurally broken club in 12 months, youāre done? Maybe patience will pay dividends.

As weāve reached December, hereās a song from the best Xmas film ever made (you heard me). Not strictly a xmas song, but a message more apt this year than any other. Enjoy.

United won away for only the second time in 12 tries, beat a team that hasn't lost at home since February, and showed decent spirit and resilience in coming from behind. And yet there are still some United fans moaning about the players on my TL š¤·š»āāļø

Plenty will choose to disregard Manchester Unitedās continued desire to fight during adversity, but this is a Crystal Palace side that was unbeaten at home in 12 Premier League fixtures, conceding only nine goals before play began.

Manchester United display fighting spirit in Crystal Palace win
On a day when Ruben Amorim and Manchester United required a response against a strong Crystal Palace side, the Reds earned a deserved win.

Some of the half time reaction I saw on here was frankly embarrassing. The manager gets a lot of criticism. Weāve got some supporters who are worse at their job than he is.

Really hoping Ankaās smugness comes back to bite him at some point. Suggested 8th would be a realistic aim at the start of the season. Acknowledges without a midfielder we wonāt make huge strides forward. But is absolutely desperate for INEOS to stick a fork in Ruben.

Unitedās prospects would be massively improved if Luke Shaw was physically able to play at wing-back. We donāt have an effective LWB elsewhere in the squad. Yoro was crap against Everton too, so perfect scenario for me - Shaw-Martinez-De Ligt-Mazraoui-Amad.

Yeo, looks completely overawed. Has gone backwards at the time others are moving forward. Iām not fan of Dalot as a footballer, but heās more mentally equipped to play for United than Dorgu is. Sadly.

Not really looking forward to the game tomorrow. First time in a while. Was nice to have reached a point of feeling excited about football again. But a couple of injuries, an awful performance/result later, and Iām filled with dread again. Very tough game at Palace. Draw would be a decent result.

What is the point of politics, when the media dictates you canāt address the things that are wrong? Canāt voice the societal positives of immigration. Canāt fix Brexit, despite knowing to do so would help everyone. Canāt question the outside influences destroying democracy. The media controls us.

Liverpool essentially play 4-3-3 donāt they? Theyāve lost about 4000 games this season. Anyone questioning 4-3-3 as a method?

1/ Last night really exposed the lack of squad depth. Weāre really going to struggle with AFCON as two of our only threats going forwards out, is a disaster. And. Our midfield is the worst in the PL. Shockingly bad. Constantly overpowered and NO itās not the system.

Agree with Amorim about the āI hope my players fight each otherā. Would be great if any United player showed a degree of annoyance when a team mate fucked up. We make stupid mistakes in every game, but itās shrugged off āoh well, thatās just what we doā. Bruno only ever shouts at officials.

What continues to bemuse me is that when a team playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 or whatever loses (and it does happen a lot, look it up), the formation is never questioned. They just played badly. But dare to lose a game playing 3-4-3 and the tactics have to be the reason. Itās not about players then.

Bad night all round last night. Amorim got selections wrong & when chasing the game wasnāt bold enough. The players were awful too, overawed by the opportunity presented to them. The squad isnāt deep enough to manage two injuries in the front line. And that midfield 4 is Championship standard.

We were dreadful tonight. Everyone deserves criticism - manager and players. But we donāt have to call for the managerās head every time we lose. The team is improving. But we arenāt good enough to be very consistent yet. Iām furious with that showing, but it was just a bad night. They happen.
