on this day in 2012, 20 children and 6 adults are killed in mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. And with the awful shooting at Brown University yesterday, we still haven't done anything on meaningful national gun laws. Enough is enough.

Ahmed al Ahmed, 43, has been identified as the man who disarmed one of the Sydney attackers. Ahmed was shot by the second shooter, who was firing from a bridge. He suffered 2 gunshot wounds and is undergoing surgery.

Intentionally killing innocent people is always wrong. Wherever in the world it happens. You might think everyone agrees with this simple moral principle, and yet far too many people, on far too many different sections of the political spectrum, try and make exceptions to it.

What the "left wing" is attacking is the idea of "Thoughts and Prayers" as the ONLY response to gun violence, which is exactly what Republicans has done after every single mass shooting. Oh, except after Kyle Rittenhouse murdered protesters. After that incident they held fundraisers to defend him.

OK then, what was the action? What has the Trump admin done? What proposals have they made? They have only ever offered “thoughts and prayers” on social media. Nothing else.
