Bufff, me llega el aviso de que Sonic Wings Reunion tiene un descuento del 20%, pero incluso rebajado se me va de presupuesto. Me joroba porque es el tipo de juego por el que más dispuesto estoy a pagar, pero es que al otro lado de la balanza tengo de 5 a 8 indies/underground de los buenos :-/

My bigger game (WIP) started as a 4 button game with a nice moveset, but over the years I've been removing things for the sake of the core idea and now it's a 2 button game focused on position and timing instead of button decisions.

Since it was open sourced, l'Abbaye des Morts has been released on a bunch of systems, even physically. This one is for Amiga computers. My first system was an Amiga 1200, so it feels nice to see the game ported there.

One of my all time favs. I learned a lot from it. The rhythm, length and risk/reward systems make it timeless. It just has a few items and rules, but they work like a charm because they're perfectly balanced.

Esto que dice @locomalito.com ❤️ Para ver el amor y trabajo en ciertas obras videojuegueras, no hay mejor medidor, que ver como han trabajado las tipografías (y rótulos). Os recomiendo el libro «Arcade Game Typography» de Toshi Omagari que es justo muestra y evidencia esto.

Don't underestimate the power of a nice font. Fonts are in sight during the entire play, so make a delicious typography and you'll have great graphics even when there's nothing more on the screen. Also, they help set the mood for the game, like a lot.

I know a game is good when I start a new game right after completing it. That's what I'm doing with Salamander 3. I check my notes and it does indeed meet the three requirements: 1. Runs of approximately 20 minutes 2. Non-stop action / No dead or repetitive moments 3. Pleasant audiovisual effects
