MAGA is the equivalent of the Mitläufer. They barely faced any sort of punishment for enabling the regime. Many claimed ignorance, and they disliked the extremism but liked “the policies”. There are so many parallels to draw between the Mitläufer and MAGA supporters, it’s not even funny.

She was a paramount person in my childhood (I am sure for many of us 70s-80s girls) that showed me that there were incredibly intelligent women out there who could pretty much do anything they wanted...be anything they wanted...and did it with strength, grace, and humor. 💗

I don't know who needs to hear this...but rephrasing something with similar words in different parts of a paragraph doesn't mean it's not what someone actually said. You're not a Jedi...you can't just wave your fingers and change context because you don't like how people react to it.

It's like a child calling a new toy by a different name...next up: The Kennedy center. Meanwhile...he's still a degenerate pedophile and a liar...

Writing inspiration comes from my environment...I observe, mentally extrapolate what I want, make some notes, & then insert it in whichever of the WIPs it works best. People think everything in fiction must be made up, but the truest writing is what you know...so it has to be a mix.

Plus...anyone that is that thirsty for attention doesn't care what anyone else has to say anyway.

Lots of opinions...lots of rash generalizations...lots of unproven nonsense...lots of harmful rhetoric...all zero substance.

I think the last couple of years' experiences have changed my perspective considerably about what I want to have in my life and what I don't...that includes social media. I like to support authors, but not ones that like to post snarky criticisms about people just trying to make a connection.

Every time I see this guy on TV or in a photo I immediately think of D'onofrio's Men in Black character Edgar...after the Alien turned him into a skin suit. He's just creepy looking on about ten different levels. 😩

Life has been lifin' and kept me from engaging like I used to, but thanks to RFKjr and his war on autism...this has become extremely personal...which is why I have been so radio silent...a personal reason. Just know, come for the baby bears and you're gonna have to go through the momma bear, first.

You can't have your cake and eat it, too. Especially not right now...if you're still grasping your pearls and holding onto things that aren't going to help us out of this MAGA infested pickle then you're just as much part of the problem as they are. Infighting and nitpicking solves nothing.

I am beginning to think the DJT & RFKjr are sharing the same worm...and it's slowly starving to death.

Nothing says "victorious" quite like winning the fight against a nondescript, basic logo... that almost every single company has been switching to without anyone noticing or caring for decades now. Hurray! Here's a win in the fight against insignificance!! Way to go.

I am hearing on the other socials that there are author cliques...I had no idea, but I have no want either. I prefer to keep my engagement open instead of inhibited. I personally think limiting who you talk to can be creatively stunting. The world is a big place with all kinds of interesting people.

Sometimes you have to create your own silver linings...

The truth is often uncomfortable, but it's still the truth. Ignoring it or minimizing it because it doesn't feel comfortable doesn't change it...but it will change you in all of the wrong ways.

We are seeing the unraveling of democracy right in front of us...even the people who didn't vote for the monsters in office...many don't seem to grasp the reality of it. They still hope for politicians to save us; meanwhile the other side doesn't realize how soon their cheers will turn to screams.
