Here’s an email exchange I had with Glen Wooten, the person in charge of SDCC’s Art Show. The previous language has been in place for a couple of years & was a compromise between himself & the higher ups. This whole ruckus convinced them that they needed more forceful language, so that’s great.

if you ever feel like you're too beholden to your reference: sketch your idea from your mind first, figure out the posing/layout/lighting/whatever you want, and then go look for reference/shoot your own reference

How to draw eyes

One of my favorite things I bought at #NYCC was @hattssi.hattcho.com Mighty Max artwork. I was not expecting to find anything Mighty Max Related, but I'm glad I did! It's so underrated and forgotten, but it was one of my favorite cartoons going up. I can't wait to frame this!
