Gun violence is never a good thing. Some of us have been trying to get that point across for a long time. I just wish there was this much outrage on the right over this afternoon's school shooting, or Uvalde, or Sandy Hook, etc., as there is over the man who said this.

Here's the thing. I love writing. And I want people to read my stuff. But damn, do I hate the process of getting it to them.

Is there anything more frustrating than a publisher you feel would be a great fit being closed to submissions "for an indeterminate time?" Probably, but waiting for them to reopen, wondering if they ever will, is enough to make one self-publish.
