Though Americans associate it with military parades on Red Square, I remind you once again that May Day started in the US. In 1926, Soviet poets N. Aseev & V. Mayakovsky co-wrote "The First First of May". Its opening words? "In America, forty years ago, when Russia had not yet been enlightened..."

Woke up from an unremembered nightmare & my first thought on rising was, "There is no Kavkaz word for 'spoon'." This is true in that there is no language called "Kavkaz" & untrue in that I'm pretty sure all Caucausian languages have a word for spoon. Perhaps this mu state is what terrified me.
