Just finished Terra Formars. I didn't expect to like an anime about people with animal/bug powers fighting off roaches on the planet Mars. What an excellent depiction of human fighting spirit. Electric Eel guy ruled.

Watched The Lighthouse. I'll be honest, the first time I put this one on I fell asleep before anything cool happened. The style is immaculate! Loved all the sailor curses and the ending was brutal.

Just Watched Mandy. This movie was a visual trip all the way up until the end. Super stylish!

Watched Warlock 1989 Today. Was a wacky trip to watch a slasher-esque movie about a witch/warlock. The special effects were atrocious but somehow that adds to the humour of it. There's 2 more movies in the series, I have my doubts but I'll give em a try in the future.

Watched Mulan: Rise of a Warrior (2009) last night with @khynomichi.bsky.social for her birthday! I honestly can say this is my favorite depiction of the story of Mulan so far. It is easily better than the 2020 live action. It does a great job at showing the horrors of war.

Watched "I Saw the TV Glow" last night. I was not ready for whatever that ending was. This movie could be about so many things but I think I most connected with its depiction of dissociation and feeling like the reality I exist in is not the same as anyone else's.

Today I watched all of Housing Complex C. The 4th and final episode reveals 75% of the story which is a strange format but it does cosmic horror pretty well.

Earlier this week I finished watching Uzumaki. It is a much better version of the story than the live action from 2000. I think it was great and I can't wait to read the manga to see how it differs.
