I tried out generating 3D models from images. Same as all modern AI systems, it is very impressive. - as long as you don't care about details like symmetry, fingers, or straight lines. So you end up photoshopping details out of the image, and then fixing the machine's mistakes, instead of creating.

Youtube is using AI to suggest replies to comments now. First off, it's making false statements, and second, I don't need help saying "thank you". My government is begging the public to use less electricity to spare the power grid, but using entire server rooms for this unwanted nonsense is fine?

Today's invention: A 3D printed label with a new way to mark values. By pushing a piece of filament into a groove. This is what I ended up on after finding that you can't properly write on 3D printed items without the capillary action of the printed layers sucking up the ink.

I have to say, Youtube's policy of redirecting ad revenue of videos containing copyrighted music to the musicians is much better than lashing out with copyright strikes.
