Happy Trans Day of Visibility! The world needs to be reminded that trans people are really just regular people.

I just read that Snap E Tiger @bycats4cats.bsky.social passed away last night due to a heart attack. He was one of the original suiters / makers I met in the fandom long ago, the pic is from 2001 MFF of his velcro tiger suit. You'll be missed, my friend.

Many of the people on my friends list know Karl Meyer (Crim). I just received word that he had passed away. I don't know much as yet save that it was apparently natural causes. I wanted to make sure that his family knew before I made a public post about it. I'll post more info as I find out.

I still think of Furry as the NEW fandom that I moved into after Science Fiction got too limiting in the 80s.

I guess if I’m going to say anything about pride month, I want to say something about the misfit queers. The ones who are told, whether overtly or just through general observation, that they’re not PROPERLY queer. They don’t fit in with the queer cliques. I’m one of you, and we get to be proud too.

Animation is a caricature of life, not a lesser imitation of it. Remaking cartoons in live-action, or giving the characters realistic proportions, hairs, warts, etc., robs them of the stylized exaggeration that made them appealing in the first place.
