Ugh. Let me make this clear: Using AI to deal with customers = they will be given incorrect advice and will be lied to. This does not lead to customer loyalty, this leads to pissed off people avoiding your organisation.

A song came up on my playlist today which triggered a lot of emotions. I listened to it a lot when I was in a very bad place 18 years ago, about to head into an even darker place. And it really made me realise: we have safety nets when we're stable, but when we're not, support is very rare.

Unmasking & subsequently accommodating my #autism was the key to fighting my depression. I had to admit, to myself & the world, that I wasn’t cut out to be the person I’d tried to become, that my success & happiness lay elsewhere. It was embarrassing & difficult, but worth it.

I had a boss once who said "The further you get from London, the more stupid people are." a) we were in the Sheffield office, so I don't think that was a very clever thing for her to say, also b) looking at the weather recently, I am glad I continued to move north.

Random things I get myself into: I set up a writers' group to meet other local people with an interest in writing, expecting it to be more of an informal chat and share kind of thing. Now I'm sort of running a writing course, and the weird thing is, I'm not too bad at it.

Considering how entrenched it has become in our daily lives, tech is sooooo *not* elder friendly, but with the closing of things like banks and post offices, short of going to live with them (NOT going to happen) and insisting I do all their computer stuff for them, something bad will happen.

Got through the day without a hypo! First day in a week; it was getting exhausting. Been taking slow steps to try and tackle PCOS/PMOS related insulin resistance/cutting down reacting to a hypo with too much glucose as a band aid, but it's going to take a lot of adjusting and small, slow changes.

Random things I have done today: Whilst trying to fix the hose, I sprayed myself in the face. Whilst checking the ripeness of the rhubarb, I accidentally picked some, so picked some more, then had to cook it, so made candied rhubarb for the first time ever. I don't have a sweet tooth.

Sometimes I beat myself up for not reading much. Then I talk to some random people, and realise I don't read as *much as I would like*, but I certainly read a lot more than many people, and certainly as much as I can, so I stop being horrid to myself.

I left X the day of the Nazi salute. My book/art sales dried up, but if I had to go back and do it again, I'd leave a lot earlier.

Call me old fashioned, but I preferred it when you uploaded data to computer programmes and they did what they were meant to, not make AI-judgement calls on the information and decide what they want to deal with, so you have to pick through the debris and reupload the missing figures.
