Autistic me has found the email proving that the breakdown in communication was not my fault, but I didn't forward it to prove my innocence, as I have learned that people don't like that. I'm getting good at this speaking NT. 😁 (Better at the languages I'm learning with Duo, but still, progress.)

Phoning utilities companies to point out incorrect billing is very stressful. When they agree with you and then take no action is annoying, and then you have the stress of a second phone call. When that person is hostile and refuses to help, it's depressing and stressful. But hopefully 40 days later

I was starting to think that certain utility companies prefer to do things over the phone, so you'd have no written record of what was said, but it turns out that when they ask you to email in evidence, they are just as capable of ignoring that too.

I have a neighbour I thought may be Autistic and I may have things in common with, so my partner and I had been thinking about inviting them over for Christmas drinks (as we have been meaning to do for the last 3 years). But after only 7 years, they're moving away before we got round to it. RUDE.

A lovely, not really stressful chat with zero stakes and a lovely person I've known to say hi to for about 8 years... And I still end up with the anxiety sweats, going bright red, and feeling like my head is in a vice. Why, body/brain, why? Grrrr.

Some really important autistic history in this book, including @autisticadvocacy.org's involvement with the diagnostic changes from the DSM IV to DSM V (many people don't realise there was some input), and so much more! Always a book I will recommend.

Things I have learned from this pumpkin season: My head torch is AMAZING. I need another, so I can swap them over to charge. My cat is a psycho. The feliway calmed her a bit, and I stopped regularly for cuddles, but she was so jealous of those pumpkins getting my attention. 1/5

Not quite the big project I had planned to end my pumpkin carving season, but I ran out of time and energy, so went for something simple and not overly original. Still, it's very pretty, and it was interesting staring at this painting all day. #PumpkinCarving

Tonight's pumpkin carving, and this year's raffle prize for the local library. The winner picked a haunted Pittenweem harbour scene.

It may have been 15 years ago, but I still remember the day Deborah from work said something unflattering about my cat.

People seem to be lining up to tell me they don't value me/my life at the moment. All they do is erase themselves from my consciousness, even if I still have to deal with them, they no longer exist.

About to head into the marathon 2 day carve for the raffle winner... And my fingers are numb from the intensity of the carving over the last 2 days. 😭But the person I 'squeezed' in an extra (*10 hour) carve for is happy, even if they didn't actually donate the pumpkin like they said they wanted to.

Tonight’s pumpkin carving. Had to rush it, but at least it’s finished. Only 4 more to go.

Over the last week, 2 people called up to ask for a pumpkin carving (they take 10+hours) I noticed that the second I started trying to assert boundaries, they moved to 'ask plus', asking for a good cause, which would then make me the bad guy for saying no. So I somehow have to find an extra 2 days 😭
