Had a letter from the hospital inviting me to make an appointment for my foot - a waiting list I'd been on for months. Sent in the middle of the Christmas period, with only a 2 week window from the date the letter was sent to make the appointment. It took 10 days to get to me.

As an Autistic person with APD, I would appreciate some warning when prerecorded telephone messages are going to launch into a menu which requires you to respond with pressing a number. And that they are clearly recorded. And repeat over and over.

The problem with writing about writing, is you have to sound wordy and like you know what to do with them word things.

The way the cat has of looking so disappointed with me when I open the door and it's not the weather he wanted out there.

The problem with being good and getting all your emailing tasks done is that people email back and then you have the stress of writing yet another email. It's like forever pushing a boulder up an effing hill.

After over half a year, I am finally getting down to designing the logo for the new local writer's group I am setting up (which starts in 3 weeks). Deadlines are so helpful sometimes. 😉

I know it's sweet/nice to be included etc. But all the people sending New Year's messages to their whole address books is overwhelming today. So I have decided I will respond in March.

I am so angry, riled up, exhausted, and drained of compassion today that I knew I was going to do something reckless. Thankfully I am extremely boring, so it culminated in me buying a badge of the Mongolian Flag.

You can hate the disruption of routine, the sensory bombardment of smells and noise, the confusion of social expectations, the exhaustion of being drained by social events, the stress of people acting unpredictably, the endurance of unfamiliar foods... And not hate the people around you.

Some people count down to Christmas. Some people count down until Christmas is OVER.

About 7 months ago I bought a bamboo steamer and a book on how to make dumplings, which was rather random as I had never even had a Chinese dumpling. Today I finally made some, as I promised I would make some for dinner tomorrow. Deadlines are useful 😉
