Base recipe for the brine so that everyone can experience the joy of making quick pickles: 1 1/4 white vinegar 2 cups water 3 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons honey (you can use sugar as well)

Getting my pickle recipes down, and I am really pleased with where I'm at with them. I substituted sugar for honey in the brine this time so I could do a spicy and sweet garlic pickle. It's only been in the fridge for a few hours, but I took a taste to see how it was going, and it's so good already.
