We heard from Tom Howson, Head of Innovation and Transformation at the @bevancommission.bsky.social on the future of perioperative care in Wales. The Waiting Well Model aims to use preoperative optimisation to turn waiting lists into preparation lists helping improve outcomes for patients.

The health inequalities shared by @sarahtilsed.bsky.social at the @patients-association.org.uk highlight why perioperative care is so vital. By improving communication, access, and coordinated support, periop and personalised care can help reduce the barriers many patients face across the system.
