having a weird night some bastard tried to break into my house bad news he's dead good news i got a sick ass red coat

started on basic attacks. the enemy summons red areas of death. if you are in the area when it's filled then you get hit. added a slight variation to where it spawns so its not always right on the player, but is always close. and the enemy only attacks if you are in range #Godot #IndieGameDev

everything is now paused when chests/inventory is opened and i made a basic sell chest that calculates the total value of everything in it on each new day, and sells everything for half their buy value rounded down #Godot #IndieGameDev

started work on making chests again. couldn't find a simple way to do this so ended up brute forcing the code which is annoying but doesn't cause issues on the user end. can store things in the chest, take them out etc #IndieGameDev #Godot

made a scene template for the trees and made one of my own artwise trying hard to not copy the art from the tutorial though i did end up using the palette from the trees as i just couldnt get the colours right but now i can easily make plenty of types of trees for wood purposes #IndieGameDev #Godot

I watched the episodes of Hazbin that are out Im pretty sure Alastor is gonna make Vox break the deal. Charlie owes Al a favour and Vox isn't allowed to touch Charlie Seems like a pretty easy way to make Vox break the deal, probably resulting in a penalty for Vox like Al owning his soul or something
