Timeline 47:In 2007, Gray met @sorchadallas.bsky.social, who revived interest in his visual art. She curated key shows, led major commissions, and founded The Alasdair Gray Archive—ensuring his legacy remains vibrant and widely celebrated.

Took the kids to explore the hauntingly beautiful ruins of St Peter’s Seminary near Cardross yesterday. Once a Roman Catholic seminary designed by Gillespie, Kidd & Coia, it’s now a modernist relic — described by Docomomo International as a “building of world significance.”

Last night, I finally watched Rebel Dykes, a powerful documentary tracing the journey of a tight-knit group of friends who first met in the 1980s at the Greenham Common peace camp and later became artists, musicians, performers, and activists in 1980s London. Highly recommend.

Day 3: another day, another unofficial Dr. who exhibition, this one ‘Adventures in Time & Space’ at Peterborough Museum, then a hang in Leeds.

Day 2 @artfund.bsky.social Museum of the Year 2025 Beamish Museum, a formative experience for me when young and the smalls loved it too.

On a road trip with the smalls, Day 1 Hadrian’s Wall, Museum of Classic Sci-fi in Allendale then hanging with pals in Newcastle.

Had a fun afternoon at Romanfest produced by Hydra Arts. At Morven Mulgrew’s Museum of Imagined Things we trebucheted some clay,, made coins, pots & portraits. Sewed with Emma Henderson & listened to a spoken word reading by Oli Higham which spoke to current times.

We welcomed some lovely French visitors yesterday Orane Delphine and Francois Chambe from @artefr.bsky.social who were filming the archive & interviewing our Custodian @sorchadallas.bsky.social for a new documentary.

School is out for the summer! Huge thanks to the incredible staff team at KPS for their love and encouragement over this last year, hope you all have a restful summer and solidarity to all parents over the 7 weeks ahead 😉❤️
