I'm politically in the centre. It's a difficult place to be in a world of extremes.

I'm a conundrum. My politics are a mess. I believe in commerce, the markets, growth - but I also believe in sustainability, ecology and nature. Gosh it is difficult Maybe best to stop listening to extremes and listen to science.

The election picture is that of extremes. I'm content that my 'first choice' was elected, but our system is acknowledging the extremes of populism (i would argue) is rewarded. I do not like this. Is it unfair that I believe that others are voting without understanding the policies of the parties?

One thing is clear in Scottish elections: Reform is not an English phenomenon. We need to look carefully at why people believe the messages they spout. Maybe SNP need to do the day job better and less Scottish exceptionalism.

The problem is that as soon as petrol/gas prices in the states return to normal, the disaffected will return to support his dog-whistle, populist politics. Short term issues will be forgotten.

It does seem like a no-brainer to cover car parks! And indeed make mandatory for all new commercial premises, particularly warehouse and industrial units to be covered in panels. I know grid connection is a constraint but we should be fixing that as a priority!
