Brilliant day spent at Landguard NNR, with Spotted Fly, Common and Black Redstart, 10+ clouded yellows, we managed to relocate the Hoopoe at a nearby Playground. And managed to get views of the Wryneck that appeared late in the day. Great day had by all.

Zitting cisticola Walberswick, Suffolk, 23/08/2025 I thought I was having a good day with an image of one of the juveniles from the 1st recorded breeding of Zitting cisticola in the UK. On review I found four juveniles and the adult female🤯

Great day at Minsmere today with 75sp. Highlights being Common crane pair, a pair of Little Ringed Plovers, first Sandwich Tern of the year and I managed to pick out a Yellow Legged Gull amongst the other big gulls on East scrape.

Amazing day birding at Abberton reservoir. 2 lifers with Smew and Red Crested Pochard, also saw Great Grey Shrike, Hen Harrier, Slav and black neck grebe, SEO, and Great Northern Diver. Met some super nice birders along the way and brought my year list up to 133sp.
