I love this story and the fact that it's just so dang delightful! When's the last time you read a news story, laughed a little, sighed, and then thought, well that is just delightful. It's been a while for me!

Just finished @hco96.bsky.social book and wow. Best book I’ve read all year and I read a lot of books! I was not aware of this story and I’m glad I know of it now. Frightening to see similarities with what’s happening in our country now. The courage and determination of the abuelas was inspiring!

Just cracked open a new book from the library and realized, pleasantly, that the font is really big and thought to myself, did they accidentally give me a large print copy? I was so happy! Then I felt really old. 😂

Just called my senators to urge them to vote no on Emil Bove for federal court judge and an actual person picked up for both of them! They were both very kind and it was nice to have that human interaction but when I hung up, I thought, ok, we need to make more calls if these lines are open!

Read this great book in one day. I’ve been in a bit of a boring book slump so this was perfect. Heartwarming, hilarious, fast-moving story about family, in all forms.

I love this! I've been writing postcards since before the Nov. election and it makes me feel like I'm doing something, even though it might seem small. When I get angry about what's going on right now (often), getting out my little colorful markers and postcards brings my blood pressure down!

Was just thinking last night how wonderful the library is. I pick up my books every week that I've put on hold and it's like a free present for myself. Half the time I forget what I put on hold so it's also a nice surprise! I just love books so much. They are getting me through the dark times.
