GP's can now prescribe weight loss injections (under stipulations). This is concerning -we're all aware of how little time GPs have. This isn't sufficient care for those starting injections. It's alarming how many people they're piling on these drugs, I fear this could be a big issue in coming years

I'm seeing talk of weight loss injections being taken to "treat" binge eating. This is a risky idea as: - there isn't enough research to show the impact of this - WL jabs are appetite suppressants, which can mimick an eating disorder - they can mask symptoms - the binges will come back inevitably

I couldn't attend the #DumpTheScales march but I fully support this. As an ED therapist I often see people who feel dismissed by ED services & medical professionals cos they don't tick boxes or fit stereotypes.There needs to be accessible help & support for every body.

I've seen too many racist, fatphobic, classist comments on pics of this statue: She's "obese", on benefits, has diabetes (and there's much worse). It's sad to see an "ordinary" body be torn down in such a cruel way. It certainly highlights the power & dominance the thin, white ideal still holds.
