Last night was one of those rare spring nights where it wasn’t going to get too cold, and no rain in the forecast, where we could leave the windows open. Only reason I woke up was the alarm. I just want to roll over and go back to sleep but alas, the day job calls. Damn.

Woke to an email from Megan the owner of Lichen and Lace apologizing and the Dandelion Dream will be on its way shortly. She and her staff truly are the best and now I get to look forward to the straggler coming home to roost.

Made it to break time. 25 minutes and a bathroom break later and I’ll be able to go back to being horizontal. Today is an extra Tylenol kind of day. But I made it and that’s all that matters. Tomorrow will be better.

Employer lets everyone know that May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Creates 30 min get togethers on various topics to foster connection. Then, makes sure everyone knows this is not during paid time, but your own. As if so many mental health issues don’t come from work/life imbalance already.

Republicans' attacks on women's healthcare have been devastating and cruel. Medication is used for over 60% of abortions — and last week's court ruling blocking access takes that option away from women across the country. I will keep fighting to protect and expand access to reproductive care.

Finished the Mod Squad socks today and then started in a dice bag. It will be a bucket bag w/4” diameter base. Since I’m working w/left over yarn I’m going to switch to a purple once I’m 2” up from the bottom to save some for the I-cords and a stripe near the top. #NightlyProgressReport #Knitting 🧶

Picked up the 2nd Mod Squad sock and OMG are my hands achy. Realized yesterday when I was cranking along on the TP why I get more knitting done while working. It’s because I’m only knitting little bits at a time throughout the day. 10 rows on the TP yesterday was at least 4 too many. Lesson learned.

Carter got his Swiss Souvenir socks and loves them. He mentioned that friends were arriving for DND and I got an idea…using the left over yarn I’m going to knit him a dice bag. I think I even have some purple fabric around here that I can use to line it. Just need to finish this sock first…
