Our new article out in Science Advances today! 🌊 In Europe we have protected 1% of our deep-sea biodiversity from bottom-contact fishing, but our analysis revealed that 3,500 hours of fishing still occurred within these protected areas.

The framework to protect seamounts exists; what’s needed now is political will to finish the job. At
