man, forza horizon 6 clearly put a lot of care into its setting, but the core game flow, the UI, all of it feels *exactly the same* as the last one, and the one before that, and the one before that...to the point that everything that makes this one special just sort of disappears into the background

finally cleared aino's route in anemoi - key is definitely doing their usual sort of thing here (summer pockets, clannad and kanon all came to mind), but the setting is *so* unique and sets the tone for the whole game, so it still felt pretty special. really great music too. looking forward to more.

i miss what my job was supposed to be. all the little moments of learning and figuring things out added up to something i enjoyed. being told that all of that time was always a complete waste, and the new, exciting future is: "do thing. then onto the next thing". hard to find meaning in any of it.
