Our thanks to Literaturhaus Wien, the Department of English and American Studies, our institutional collaborators, the nine chairs, and all who enabled the event to run smoothly: PoP's administrator and organizational mastermind, Marie Krebs, along with Emily Poulter, Purva Dua, and Roberta Ghete.

Our conference concluded with words from our convenors Shefali Banerji, Rachel Bolle-Debessay, and Julia Lajta-Novak, who reflected on the inspiring exchanges of the two days and on future avenues of collaboration to further the field of poetry performance research. Stay tuned for more info!

Our final two panels were Panel VIII: Performance Community, from Sacred to Secular Spaces and Panel IX: Staging Women in Poetry Performance. The first panelists were Peter Howarth, Jamie Callison, and Karen Simecek, the second set of panelists were Sheena Baharudin, Yuequin Zhai, and Lucy Collins.

Panel VI: (Non-)Translation and Multilinguality consisted of papers by Sonja Faaren Ruud, Raphael D'Abdon & Deirdre Byrne, and Eleonora Fisco. Meanwhile in Panel VII, we had the second "Poetics of Resistance in Performance" panel with Tyler Hoffman, Cara Ow, and Kalliopi Konstantinopolou.

Panel IV consisted of compelling talks by Thomas Antonic and Eunice Lee on the idea of "Anthologising Sound". In the truly parallel session (Panel V), Klara du Plessis presented on her archival work and the act of not listening and Clara Cosima Wolff spoke about Sign Language poetry.

Starting off day 2 with Cornelia Gräbner's thought-provoking keynote titled "Pluralities of an Emerging Field: The Social and Public Poetics of Poetry-in-Performance". Raised many impulses for conversations to be had throughout the day. #PoPAroundtheGlobe

Our open mic performers were Klara du Plessis (CAN), Talida Izdraila (ROU), Šarka Masáeová (CZE), and Damjana Vidicheska (MKD). The evening was hosted by our PhD researchers Claire Palzer and Shefali Banerji. What better way to end a day of thinking and talking about poetry than by hearing some!

We concluded the first day of #PoParoundtheGlobe with performances from poets from 8 countries. Our headliners were Shantanu Anand (IND), Raphael d'Abdon (ZAF), liz breslin (NZL), and Katharina Wenty (AUT).

Shantanu Anand's keynote about spoken word poetry in India at #PoPAG @poetryoffthepage.bsky.social was poetry itself! What a delight to learn about the vibrant slam scene in India. German slam could learn a thing or two about the participatory and activist slam culture shaped by people like him

Our first keynote was by Shantanu Anand, who shared his reflections on spoken word poetry in India, traditions and newness, resistance and joy, and poetry's home not on the page, not off the page, but in the person.

Panel III: Poetics of Resistance in Performance - our third panel posed more questions about time, memory and visual poetics and the Brasilian poetry scene. Brilliant talks by Andrea Brady, Deirdre Osborne and Daniela Freitas.

Panel II: Technology and the Digital in Performance - this panel raised a lot of questions about the effects and ethics of various technologies and digital platforms that can be part of poetry performance. Thanks to the panelists Lucy English, Henrik Wehmeier, and Camille Dasseleer.

Panel I: Poetry Community: Behind the Scenes - three brilliant talks to open our conference. Joanna Nissel and Will May on performing mentorship, Diana Maria Talida Izdrăilă on the Romanian spoken word scene and liz breslin on performing bodies for funding in Aotearoa New Zealand.
