Them: we have a consult for abdominal pain. Me: okay what are the labs, vitals, imaging? Them: we are getting labs and imaging now Me: how do you know you need a surgery consult if the workup isnt complete? can you please call back when things are done and you for sure need the consult

First year where I didn’t have turkey. They closed the cafeteria at my job so It was a vending machine meal

We have eduction on Wednesday and the chief decides if we are dismissed or we have to go back to work. The chief decided to stay home but made me go back but I sat for four hours as there nothing to do and they wouldn’t let me scrub into any of the cases.

Spending Thanksgiving on a 24 hour call onmy to return Friday night for night shift. Urology is my calling. I don’t get to operate on this rotation because preference is given to the seniors so seeing consults is my main priority . I miss the OR
