England/UK Shenanigans, Day 11: We woke up early this morning to see sunrise at Stonehenge! We rearranged our trip and did extra driving to make sure we got here since this is the last tour of the season and there won’t be more until December!

England/UK Shenanigans, Day 10: This morning we drove out to Honister Slate Mine, where we did the Via Ferrata Extreme, climbing and hiking to 640 meters high and crossing some scary bridges! We spent the rest of the day driving South to Salisbury.

Scotland/UK Shenanigans, Day 8: This morning I did a tour of the Glasgow City Chambers, which are stunning. The city chambers were built from 1883-1888. There was a budget of 150K and they managed to build it for just under 600k haha!

Scotland/UK Shenanigans, Day 7: Today was my first “city day” and I’m exhausted! I got up this morning and walked a few miles through Glasgow, pet some dogs, and shopped at Style Mile.

I got on a train and there was a group of about 10 American kids (~20-22 years old) being loud and taking up a ton of space. I was just thinking that I was being old and crotchety, but as soon as they got off these two Scottish guys (~30 years old) went “That was TOO MUCH.” 🤣

Scotland/UK Shenanigans, Day 5: This morning I got up early to do a hike, drove 1 hour to the hike and got a flat tire about a mile away. I lost 4 hours of the morning waiting then getting back to Stirling for a repair, but I decided it was a chance to visit Stirling Castle!

Scotland Shenanigans, Day 1: After nearly 22 hours of travel I arrived in Edinburgh this afternoon where I rented a car and drove to Cairngorms National Park!

One flight down, two to go! I miss the pack so much already, but I’m also so excited for this adventure!!!

I got back to Birmingham yesterday afternoon. I leave for the UK tomorrow morning. Today’s plan: - Pack - Clean - Dr appt - Zoom meeting - SIX vet appts - Haircut - 2 stores - Bank - Pharmacy - Lab work It’s only 8am and I’m already exhausted!

When you check in to the vet and realize your dogs are over 1/3 of the entire day. 🤣

After 47 days in a row at work I am FINALLY on vacation! I am spending the weekend in Nashville with a dear friend, but her flight gets in late so I treated myself to a trip to The Book Shop then went to see the new Jurassic World movie (sooo good)!

I will go back to regularly scheduled programming of dogs and travel when this country stops losing its mind and listening to idiots who wouldn’t know a petri dish from the worm in their brain.

I called and made an appointment at Walgreens. When they started the spiel about it only being available for over “65 and patients with…” I told them I was high risk and they scheduled me.

Today 40 days in a row at work. 7 more days until a whole 1.5 months of adventure!!! The biggest priority for the next week is trying not to catch COVID from all the patients in the hospital. Get vaccinated!!!
