My favorite is also my most hated: initial sketching. Hated because I’m terrible at it. It takes me FOREVER to get the anatomy and pose right; hours of erasing, redrawing, lassoing, transforming, warping. But slowly, the image I have in my mind emerges. It’s as rewarding as it is frustrating.
