every night is the same. hundreds of drones, missiles, airstrikes over ukraine. electricity plants, water stations, heating stations, hospitals, schools, trains. and it’s barely a topic in discussions or news.

A lesson European Liberal and Centre left people learned since 2022 is that the American leftist will openly support and side with those who seek to invade, annihilate, and enslave us, in the name of some fancy feel-good delusion of being "anti-Imperialist" or something.

Love how every one of these I wanna say leftists (?) always “forgets” about Ukraine even in cases where it would boost their arguments. It’s bad tone to show that you care about the biggest war in Europe since World War 2, to care about Bucha, Olenivka, and Mariupol. Bros just won’t understand.

no no no, don’t panic — the big kamikaze drones with explosives that entered our airspace and could destroy residential buildings are not an attack. just “incident.” just a few flying bombs casually flying here and there, airports closed for fun. everything’s fine. totally fine.

What a neat little trick. I guess every time Russia attacks anything in the rest of Europe, we can all just declare that it was intended as an attack on Ukraine, and that makes it ignorable. As if Ukraine was some sort of sponge that exists to collect all suffering or something. Cowardly.

Why does the media often call countries by their capital names? Like "Washington decided", "Kyiv chose", "Berlin thinks", and so on? I always found it not only weird but kinda harmful, because in war-related political talks, it casts blame or action on a faceless entity.

something extra de-realizing when it’s a hot summer evening in your favorite city but then there’s a war and you’re standing with a poster protesting an insane bill, surrounded by ppl of your age, like will there ever be a generation of Ukrainians who don’t have to fucking fight to live normally

russian soldiers posed for photos next to the wreckage of MH17, the civilian airliner they shot down with a Buk missile system. That was 11 years ago. russia murdered 298 innocent people, including 80 children, most of them foreign nationals. And these absolute terrorists treated it like a trophy

There’s a staggering cruelty in how easy it is for people online to intellectualize genocide, while sitting in a safe room somewhere, far away from missile sirens and mass graves.
