I am looking forward to help analyze glider data that will show the changes in mixing as Lake Ontario warms through 4°C. Below this temperature heating leads to mixing, above 4°C stratification can form. The lateral gradients in temperature are clear is SST plot from NOAA.

Winter in the Great Lakes is changing fast- and we need data to keep up. With support from @globservingsystem.bsky.social, CIGLR, and Orange Force Marine, RAEON recently deployed a glider in Lake Ontario to collect high-resolution temperature data to understand changing thermal dynamics.
