Just a casual EDI, the robotic teammate from the Mass Effect video games. I started this last November and stopped because I hated it, but after taking another look recently I decided to finish her up. I cheated a little by giving her full eyebrows, but she didn't look right without them.

Yet another magic user – this time it's Myrna, a necromancer and “Keeper of the Seals” in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Given her Necromancy and residency in Necropolis Halls, I tried to keep a darker palette for her without going with the typical black/white/gold combination.

Continuing on a Sorceress theme, here's a contemporary Claudia from The Dragon Prince/The Dragon King. She's gone through quite a change in appearance since her early days, which is something I always love seeing.

Straight out of some of my favorite books to read (The Belgariad, Polgara the Sorceress), here's my take on Polgara the Sorceress in some regal evening wear. (I'll admit the books have not aged well.)

Okay, so this one is definitely a bit more colorful than my usual stuff, but for good reason – This is Alison Blaire, aka. Dazzler, whose superpower is the ability to turn sound into light (and lasers). I really struggled with this one and came close to giving up four or five times.

This week's drawing is a contemporary-look Doric, the druidic tiefling from “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” which is a fantastic, fun movie you should check out if you already haven't.

This year's Valentines couple is a contemporary version of Evangelina Sage and Trystan Maverine (aka The Villain) from the “Assistant to the Villain” series by Hannah Nicole Maehrer.

Ever since I read the slightly updated Archie series by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples a few years ago, I've had it in mind to take a crack at drawing Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge.

I just finished reading "The Interdependency Series" by John Scalzi and I'm not sure I ever loved and hated the end of a trilogy so much (in a good way). This is going to take me a few days to process. But after reading them through the library, I ordered physical copies for my shelf.

Another request that didn't make the official sixfanarts cut is one Ms. Jubilation Lee, aka. Jubilee of the X-Men. Somehow she'd flown under my radar as a possible subject up until now. The lesson I learned with this one is that I'm not great at designing retro t-shirts.

Technically this suggestion was one too many for my #sixfanarts effort, but I liked the character suggestion so I drew her anyway – Elektra Ovirowa, from Cowboy Bebop.

Last but positively not least for the latest round of #sixfanarts, Ciri from The Witcher. I based this version off of her appearance in the video game, though I was aiming for more of a contemporary night out type look. I always get a kick out of drawing her, so I'm glad she was suggested.

Number 5 for the latest round of #sixfanarts, Theresa from the series “Minor Arcana.” I'll be honest and note that I'm not familiar with her at all, but I'm hoping I did her justice.

Next up is my latest sixfanarts is Phantazia, aka Eileen Harsaw. I couldn't decide whether to draw her with the glasses or without, so you get both! So here's Eileen, and hopefully you get the Easter egg/joke. I fear I may just be showing my age, though.

Another round of Six Fanarts via followers on Instagram. First up was Captain Kate Pryde. It isn't my favorite era of Kate's by any means, nor my favorite costume, but I had fun trying to give her a bit of a different look that was recognizable as her captain style. I really like how it turned out.

The message I'm taking away from the past few days is that people need to do better when setting up their annual bingo cards.

Getting in one more before Christmas – here's my take on Jovie from the movie Elf. Happy holidays, everyone!

The 1997 movie Anastasia has always had a special place in my heart because I took my mom to see it, so I figured I'd give drawing her a try. I wanted to maintain a somewhat simple look for her since that's what she had for most of the movie, but without drawing directly from the movie itself.

It's been a while since I drew Vixen, aka Mari Jiwe McCabe, from DC Comics. As I worked on this one, it became pretty evident to me that my crush on 90s era Halle Berry is still holding on strong.

The long birthday weekend gave me a chance to do more drawing than usual, so here's another I finished up – Contemporary Shadowheart. I absolutely love her in Baldur's Gate 3, but felt like giving her a bit more modern (and slightly goth?) style.

Just a quick rendition of Quorra from Tron: Legacy. There's not a whole lot to say about it – she's just someone I've wanted to draw from a while.

This week's project – A character illustration and icons for Mars on the DnD with dee discord. I put this together in exchange for a generous donation to The Trevor Project, and had a lot of fun doing it. The biggest challenge was making her hair floofy enough.

Corrected this week's project to hopefully have platinum blonde hair: Emma Frost, of X-Men fame. As much as I wanted to put Emma in colors other than white, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

This week's project: The interplanetary thief Ada Lamar, from Beth Revis's “Chaotic Orbits” series of novellas. I just have a weak spot for female protagonists and especially ones who are thieves, so Ada has become one of my favorite characters to follow.

This Leloo from ”The Fifth Element” is the result of a reference pose that didn't quite work out – the placement of the reference's hands (clasped beneath her chin) just didn't translate to the drawing. So instead I gave her a chicken to hold. Because everyone knows Leloo loves her chicken.

An early posting this week — another cel shading piece, this time of Illyana Rasputin, aka Magick of the X-Men. For some reason I just couldn’t get her too not look like a teenager to me. I was aiming for mid-20s or so.

This week I opted for a slightly more formal than usual Laura Kinney. My original intention was to have a nightclub behind her, but it didn't quite work with how I want to do these backgrounds. So instead we get a convenient brick wall with just the tiniest bit of self-aggrandizing graffiti on it.

I recently did a character-art-for-map trade, so here's the Drow druid Korelei owned by Kaylinn57 on the D&D with Dee discord. I love trying to bring people's characters to life, so I was all in on this one. And it's even better when they're adorable elves.
