I've seen a lot of articles saying "Yeah, it's cold but it doesn't get that cold anymore" or "it's not as cold as you think it is," and I really, really, really don't agree with making those points to force a climate change conversation. It's been damn cold. End of story.

Dear drivers; I can’t stress this enough; if a pedestrian/bike waves you to go first at an intersection PLEASE GO. Don’t sit there and get in a waving war. A) the ped/bike probably feels it’s safer for them to have the car go first B) the bike is showing some courtesy so the car isn’t stuck behind.

Had another great Twilight Treats ride with the Energy Corridor Cycling Club on Friday. A whole family showed up for the first time and the kids loved riding their bikes the farthest they’ve ever gone away from their house! Next ride is Feb 13!

Two years in a row Houston First schedules the Tour de Houston the same day as Gran Fondo TX. With all the rides that have folded in the past years there are tons of available dates—the Gran Fondo is a gorgeous ride & the easy choice of the two. DO BETTER HOUSTON FIRST, we want to do both!

Fell just short of my 4,000 mile cycling goal for 2025 due to some personal stuff for the last month & a half, but still proud to have racked up nearly 2,000 commute miles on the new ebike. Going to make 4,000 my goal again for 2026 with a stretch goal of 4,500.
