Every time I draw Black Star Polaris her shoulder pylons get a little taller. Someday they'll just be always slightly out of frame no matter how wide the shot is, like Doug Dimmadome's hat.

Making my first "story" for myself essentially Cyberpunk 2077 fanfiction does have me feeling a little self conscious. At some point I know I'll take the training wheels off and the Black Star is gonna become her own thing. But playing in someone else's sandbox for now is fun.

Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0 is a pretty messy movie and I could be critical of it all day, but god do I adore it's version of EVA-03/Bardiel. It's the perfect fusion of animal ferocity and human brutality I find so captivating in the Evangelion.

I only made Cyber Polaris as a self-indulgence, a fun and stupid toy of a project to entertain myself with. The fact that it broke containment in this small way is pretty stressful, I feel the pressure is on for this thing to be "good" now. And the problem is I don't feel good enough for that.

Had a bit of fun with it myself.

I won't lie; this may be my new fave helmet I've ever drawn. I'm sure nobody would mind if Polaris wore it every once in a while.
