The opposition to the proposed CGT changes is wild. Haven't seen the old money establishment and the hungry bourgeoise come together like this since they tried to merge Melbourne and Hawthorn.

Charitably, this is confused and naive at best. "I want to start a party but without policies, ideology, or even a major cult of personality."

Labor Left faction needs to face facts that the CIA wanted it more when they went to the MP draft. You have to offer better contracts if you want to attract players.

This is Teal Brain in action. Yesterday Allegra Spender moved this amendment, which would have allowed people with millions of dollars in superannuation to avoid tax. The Teals spend a lot of time looking after the 1%. Gotta look after your political donors I guess.

He hasn’t even left Parliament yet and he’s already landed a plum corporate gig for a major bank that has given his party nearly $800,000 in donations in the past decade. It’s a big club and you’re not in it.
