Over and over when I look at current & historical events there is this theme where most people want to live a thriving, survivable, sustainable life and just a handful believe they get to chose who actually should get to try for that life, and who they believe they get to treat as disposable.

I remember as a new parent, that a lot of folks, myself included, would speculate about the similarities between being a human parent and being a pet parent, (usually dogs). And there is one area that is definitely an overwhelmingly similar experience between both kinds of parents:

One of the interesting things about searching for ‘The Palm Beach Post’ in the #theEpsteinFiles is that in addition to documents related to some lawsuits, and emails referring to upcoming or published articles, there’s monitoring alerts from a bank that cite articles from them as a source in 2015. 👀

Sandwiched between: “I can’t imagine being a [vulnerable person] during a time like this, it must be impossibly hard.” And “Look, I know you’re a [vulnerable person], but I think you should be behaving more like what I expect and want, (which coincidentally benefits me more than it helps you).”

A project I wish I had time for, is comparing old articles with what’s in the files about them. There’s a bunch of places in texts & emails with long discussions of upcoming, published, or squashed stories. Ones like the NYT & WaPo are interesting, but so are ones like The Palm Beach Post.

Just because you personally really don’t want something or someone to have a negative connection to Epstein or human trafficking, doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

If you are serious about "never again" then remember: it's not about standing up to a line of tanks when the camps are already running. It's about standing up to social & professional pressure when the whole thing is just getting started, when it's not yet cool to do so. That's bravery that matters.
