Inspired by real events, kinda. (I’ve not been to the catacombs yet, so I can’t guarantee that part’s entirely accurate.)

What if we just got rid of the tech industry and started over? What if there’s no point to an industry that mostly invents new chocolate and cheese flavors of the panopticon?

What an artist. There can be few comics creators who have had a greater impact than Marjane Satrapi has.

2/ To make matters worse, Scorsese throws every single storyboard artist he’s ever worked with under the bus, as he talks about demolishing their livelihoods with models that are likely trained on those story board artist’s same works. To use his legacy and power for this is just so gross.

we don't have a masculinity crisis. we have a patriarchy crisis. patriarchy creates and sustains male unhappiness with its dogmatic, toxic, rigid definition of masculinity which says the worst and most undesirable thing a human can be is female which is how we get insults like "Low-T Talarico"

I’m sure I’ll complain about it the minute I need to take the subway, but as someone who’s always cold, this heatwave feels like a treat. Watermelon and spearmint tea, letting my hair dry on its own after a good shower… feels like a holiday.

i’ve been thinking of what could even be said about such a tragedy. someone said it best that trans people are “born so late and die so young”. we uproot our lives and transition and live more life than anyone else ever does and society punishes us for it. we deserve better

I am, once again, browsing Christie's for cool stuff and found this melting watch I once drew as part of a project about artists' auctioned possessions. Sir Elton John owned one (and, for only CHF 150,000 – CHF 250,000, so can you.)

This week on VIBE CHECK, we did a segment on violence against women of color. We talked, for example, about the singer D4VID who murdered the 14-year old girl he had been “dating” and then wrote a popular song titled “Romantic Homicide.” It took 7+ months for him to be arrested.
