Tuesday in hospitality

In preparation for post surgery, I've started doing things with my left hand that I'd normally do with my right. LIKE BRUSHING MY TEETH YOU FILTHY MINDED LOT!!! 😂

After the operation, my arm is going to be in a sling for 6 weeks. It's going to be a struggle for a while. It doesn't have to be like this. When they give me general anesthetic, why can't it last for 2 months? No struggles. These are the sorts of questions that I'm going to be asking on Saturday.

My mum has lived at her current house for forty years. It's been a big part of my life. Now she finds herself in a nursing home and this afternoon, I'm going to visit her for the first time. I'm so not prepared for this but it's something that I have to do.

I've been to Barcelona & Madrid & Barcelona is far superior. Easily the best city I've been to. La Rambla is superb! Great architecture, numerous beaches, excellent nightlife, wonderful restaurants. El Camp Nou is a must for any football fan. Recommend for anybody who'd like a city break like me! 😁

I can honestly say that I don't think that I've ever had a hot cross bun. If I have then they can't be that great or I would've remembered it. I'll happily go the rest of my life without ever having one either.

This was a conversation I had with a customer when I worked in the bakery at Asda circa 2015: "What's that thing that's come out of the oven that smells like hot cross buns?" "Hot cross buns!" "Oh yeah" I don't miss working there!!

I've just woke up from a dream where I had a right laugh with somebody. It was only a dream but it's provided a little bit of light relief from the real world which isn't great at the minute. I wish that you could somehow return to the same dream but you never can.
