I agree, but also point out that most people wish to die at home, where they are known and loved and surrounded by support (including pets). Let's create ways to make that wish possible: home care assistance, doula support, improved resources for at-home hospice care, grief support, etc.

The end of this December will mark SEVEN years since I started the @3wishesprogram.bsky.social at UCLA. As of today, we've fulfilled wishes for over 2000 deceased patients & their families, involved nearly 700 HCWs, and the direct cost still averages only about $33 per patient. #hapc #medsky
