The Thanksgiving Food Drive is off to a great start. So far, 15,214 pounds have been donated, roughly the same as last year. Given how difficult a year this has been, it's amazing that Londoners always find a way to reach out . Thank you, London. The drive continues until October 13th. #LdnOnt

We all see it - the poverty, the hunger, joblessness and homelessness. Our task now is to stay focused until our nation works it's way through these problems. Change will come through exercising our citizenship by refusing to turn a blind eye. Don't ever doubt it. #LdnOnt

This is heartbreaking. Hunger in London is now spilling over its normal confines and is affecting our collective state of mind - especially as it pertains to kids. Tonight I'll be frankly speaking to the Middlesex London Health Unit board about what this means for our collective health.

I see this personally, day after day, and it's amazing. The over 4,000 volunteers helping us at the London Food Bank make a statement every time they help us. They are the "quiet architects" of compassion in this community and we'd be lost without them. Special thanks to them all. #LdnOnt
