Started physical therapy today. It is not looking good. My range of motion and my overall strength isn't where it needs to be. Got some strength in increasing homework and going 2-3x a week for the foreseeable future.

Neurosurgeon answered a lot of questions about why I'm in such terrible pain. I have a disc bulging from the one view we can see. Full body right side weakness. Gave me a prescription that my insurance won't fill. Insurance also won't cover my mris that are 1.5k each. I'm so tired.

I see a Neuro Surgeon on Thursday for my back and will hopefully have some answers. Awaiting MRI testing for the same issue. Experiencing extreme (9/10) pain when sitting or standing more than 20 minutes. I'm trying to get little bits of work done.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you have friends struggling through the shutdown, consider inviting them over for a family dinner this week. Make too much. Insist they take leftovers home. Some folks can't say they need help out loud but will appreciate the kindness.

Continuing my medical hiatus. I've been prescribed new medications that should help, and I start physical therapy soon. Burnout is real, and it's really hard to recover from and deal with.
