Games I Completed in 2026 #3: Wavetale Really cute short game. Character movement feels great. There's not much too it. The whole game is a series of small quests to find lost items and flip switches. If the game was much longer, it would be boring - but I think it's about the perfect length.

Games I Completed in 2026 #3: Metroid: Zero Mission It's been a few years since I played this one. I enjoy how simple and short it is. I only got 63% of the items, but I felt very powerful and accomplished - and I finished the game in 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Still thinking about this movie (and watched it again). Everything about Luca just gives me joy, and let's face it - we could all use some of that right now.

I've been watching a lot of movies lately. I found a new favorite last night: Luca. I remember seeing previews for the film. I liked the sea monster character design, so it went on the watch list. I didn't really know what it was about otherwise, but I really enjoyed it.

Games I Completed in 2026 #2: Visions of Mana This is a really well made comfort food JRPG. I had a lot of fun playing. I recommend it to anyone who wants a modern RPG with a slightly retro feel. It's a simple game. It's a shame the studio was shut down. This is good work.

I have returned to playing Visions of Mana after finishing Metroid Prime 4. I'm having fun playing, but wow does this game not run well on PS4. 😆

Games I Completed in 2026: #1 Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Excellent gameplay, environments, and overall design. I had a lot of fun playing, and the common complaints about characters and the open world section do not bother me. They nailed what I want most from Metroid Prime. (more in thread)

I just realized I have not posted anything in a month. I'm having fun playing video games and not spending all my time on social media. Metroid Prime 4 is good. Decorating virtual houses is fun.

It's funny how a kinda questionable choice to make an all-women race in a 1998 game Led to a 2017 game making a serious effort to design and world-build the culture of an all-women warrior race Which led to Age of Imprisonment having the biggest set of dark-skinned women in any Nintendo game.

Imagine if Smash Bros. waited 6 months to release item selection options. Its completely ridiculous to withhold this for months.

Games I Completed in 2025 #18: Mr. Driller 2 I randomly started this up tonight on NSO. I'm so bad at it; lots of rewinding required on the later stages. It's a cute game. I appreciate that it only has a few stages and doesn't try to pad out the game with tons of content.
