I actually liked Fast and the Furry, I thought the idea of Tom and Jerry in a Wacky Races scenario was a nice fit for the characters, it had a all star cast of veteran voice actors, and it was one of the final Tom and Jerry projects that actually had one of the creators involved

I felt that the Tom & Jerry Meets concept was the result of the studio running out of ideas, so they just said "Let's just put them in animated versions of classic movies from WB where they meet the movie characters"
