The latest cruel reminder to everyday Americans that Republicans don’t work for the people. In fact. They don’t even care when working families suffer.

While Republicans are running scared, Democrats have the momentum and are poised to take back the majority. Last night’s results show we’re motivated and ready to get the people’s House back to delivering results to improve the lives of everyday Americans.

No amount of lies or rhetoric will change the reality facing hardworking American families. Life is too expensive, and it’s because Trump and House Republicans broke their promise to fix the affordability crisis.

Hearing directly from you on the challenges facing our workforce, especially our unions, is incredibly impactful. This read in the Atlantic is a strong summary of how Democrats are poised to retake the House Majority in 2026, that voters hate Republicans’ efforts to rig the election, and they are souring on GOP broken promises to lower costs.

It’s simple. Trump and Republicans’ broken promises on the economy and rising costs is losing them public support. Affordability, and House Democrats’ laser focus to address the pocketbook issues are why we will take back the majority next year.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The admin can release funds now to help keep food assistance available, and House Republicans need to come back to work so we can sit down and negotiate a bipartisan deal.

Ok.  Since Rep. McClain raised the topic.  The truth is: House Republicans voted for the largest cut to food assistance earlier this summer with their Big, Ugly Bill. And the DCCC will hold them accountable before their voters next November.

Just the latest data confirming what everyday American families already know: costs continue to rise, and Republicans have broken their promise to do anything about it. We can do better.
