I've recently been in #MegaWang hardware mode again. This is an Audio3 board that uses variable coded delta compression. It has 61% lossless compression compared to standard 8-bit PCM. It's going to replace the standard PCM Audio2 board. :)

This brings back memories... "The WAIT instruction causes the Copper to wait until the video beam counters are equal to (or greater than) the coordinates specified in the instruction. While waiting, the Copper is off the bus and not using memory cycles."

When you code stuff, what do you think? I realised years ago when I am thinking about something to code (or electronics) then I visualise in my mind's eye the structure an large complex interconnected shapes, that move, have colours, and are attached to certain emotions.

Today I've been running a lot of old code and projects on the #Commodore64Ultimate in 64MHz mode. Games like Footy with sampled audio and full screen scrolling is really possible. All of the other stuff that uses sprite multiplexing and full colour scrolling is instantly smooth.

#MegaWang2000TurboEdition board stack has grown. 3 chars/tiles, mode7, 2 super scaled sprites, audio, and APU (copper). The new backplane provides much more reliable power and signal quality. Currently at 88 watts. :)
